Voice Mail Set up Instructions
Setting up your Password and Outgoing Message
To use your Voice Mail, you need to set up a password for retrieving your
messages and a personalized greeting
From your cellular phone: Press *86 then “SEND” (while in Cellcom system)
From a home or business phone: Dial your cellular number, interrupt the generic
massage by pressing *
Complete the user introduction (“Hello, and welcome to your personal
mailbox…”) during this session, you will be instructed to set up your
personal 1-6 digit passcode and record your outgoing message
Playing your Messages
From your cellular phone: Press *86 then “SEND”. (while in Cellcom
system)
When you hear the prompt, enter your passcode then press *
From a home/business phone: Dial your cellular number, interrupt your
outgoing message by pressing *
When roaming outside the home area: See “Rapid Check-In-Numbers”
Listening to Your Message
Push “5” to listen
Press “2” to back up (you can listen to the last 8 seconds of message)
Press “22” to back up (you can listen to the entire message again)
Press “3” to fast forward (will fast forward 8 seconds of message)
Press “33” to fast forward (will fast forward to the end of the message)
Press “5” to keep (will save your message)
Press “6” for nest (you can listen to the next message/will automatically
cancel the message you just heard)
Changing Your Outgoing Message or Passcode
1. From your cellular phone: Press *86 then “SEND” (while in Cellcom system)
When you hear the prompt, enter your passcode then press *
From home/business phone: Dial your cellular number, interrupt your
outgoing message by pressing *
When you hear the prompt, enter your passcode then press *
When roaming outside the home area: See “Rapid Check-In-Numbers”
2. Press “6” to modify then
3. Press “7” for set-up
Outgoing Message Passcode
4. Press “6” for outgoing message4. Press “7” for passcode
5. Press “7” to record, then * when done 5.
Enter new passcode then *
6. Press “5” to keep
Audible Message Waiting
will notify you when a new message has been left in your Voice Mailbox (while in
Cellcom system). You will hear a series of three tones whenever a new message
has been left. The tone is heard when placing or receiving a call from
your cellular phone. (Note: you will not be notified if a message
was left while your were checking your messages or if you are roaming outside
the home area)
Suggested use: Press *86 then SEND as though you were entering your Voice
Mailbox. If you hear the tones within three seconds, you know you have a
new message. If no tones are heard, there are no new messages.
Rapid Check-In
Dial your 10 digit mobile number and press * to
interrupt your message, then enter your passcode followed by *
