Voicemail Set Up Instructions
STEP 1- Setting up your Passcode and Outgoing Message
To use your voicemail, you need to set up a passcode for retrieving your messages and a personalized greeting.
For your wireless phone: Press *86 then "SEND" (while in Cellcom's network.)
From a home or business phone: Dial your wireless number and interrupt the generic message by pressing *.
Complete the user introduction ("Hello and welcome to your personal mailbox..."). During this session, you will be instructed to set up your personal 1.6 digit passcode and record your outgoing message.
Playing Your Messages
From your wireless phone: Press *86 then "SEND" (while in Cellcom's network).
When you hear the prompt, enter your passcode then press *.
You can also play your messages by pressing your pre-programmed one-touch voicemail key and follow the prompts (please refer to your owner's manual for availability and instructions).
From a home or business phone: Dial your wireless number and interrupt your outgoing message by pressing *.
When you hear the prompt, enter your passcode then press *.
Listening to Your Messages Press To bypass the greeting ** To listen to message 5 To pause message 1 To resume message 1 To back up 8 seconds within message 2 To back up to the start of the message 22 To fast forward 8 seconds of message 3 To fast forward to end of message 33 To delete message 3 To listen to next message 6 To summarize all new messages 9 To save a new message while it's playing 8
Playing Your Messages While Roaming
Dial your wireless number, including the area code, and interrupt your outgoing message by pressing *.
When you hear the prompt, enter your passcode then press *. This allows you to access your voicemail box from your wireless phone or a landline while roaming outside the Cellcom home area.
From your wireless phone you may also press your pre-programmed one-touch voicemail key and follow the prompts (please refer to your owner's manual for availability and instructions).
Changing Your Passcode or Outgoing Message

Troubleshooting- Helpful Hints
Delayed messages: Follow proper exit after listening to your messages by pressing 9. This will summarize the number of new messages that are in your mailbox and whether you have listened to them.
Delayed indicator: Under certain conditions your indicator may not appear. Examples are if you are roaming out of the Cellcom area or if your phone is experiencing a weak signal.
Key is not active: You may get this message if there is interference with your signal or if you are in an area with significant background noise. Check if your DTMF (key pad) tones are set to active and "long" on your phone.
Reasons for *86 not working: You may be roaming on another carrier's tower, * codes are no universal. Therefor, feature may not be recognized.
Number is not listed: The voicemail box is not set-up properly.
